Supplemental Figure 8: FABP7 protein levels correlate with microarray gene expression measurements.
Expression of FABP7 protein was evaluated in a subset of the tumors used for DNA microarray analysis. The scores of cytoplasmic and nuclear immunoreactivity were based upon a 0 to 3 scale and on the percentage of immuno-positive nuclei, respectively. The microarray mRNA measurement was calculated by averaging the tumor Cy5/Cy3 ratios for the three EST clones on the microarrays representing FABP7 and dividing this by the average normal brain Cy5/Cy3 ratios for the same ESTs. Standard deviations were as indicated.
